Friday Wine Day
In keeping with my red wine theme, I tried "Down Under" Shiraz which comes from vineyards in South Eastern Australia. Staying beneath the price point of $15 dollars or less, this Australian wine was surprising sweet but int a good way. I enjoyed the wine with spaghetti, and it really enhanced the sweetness of the tomato sauce. Not too heavy, but able to hold its own, this is a great wine for those of you who don't like a super dry red wine.
Plus, who can resist the adorable koala on the bottle :p
Retailing for $6 at our local liquor store, Grapevine in Brentwood, this is a great wine to enjoy with friends or with a special someone.
